Henry Moore

Henry Moore’s drawings are negative which are done using white chalk and charcoal. He also used a rubber to add definition to some areas, and this also helped to create a 3D effect. His work has influenced some of my life drawings and my cholograph work because of his use of tone and mass. To create this range of tones in his drawings he would put down a mid tone colour onto the page so he could add or take away colour. This is something I tried and liked in my life drawings.
